Remembrance Day 2012

A shock start, yes the sun was out! Althought rather cold, a dry and sunny day was ahead.

It's always an honour to march through Queensbury, with everyone preset & ready we did the custom pictures. We had 2 new girls marching (Megan & Lauren) on baritone. Lisa had finished her band maternity leave, and we had a few past members honking at the front & back.

Marching from the Scout hut to the Cenotaph, king of the phat lads (Mike) played the Last Post, with it been the 11th, its normal to have a 2 minute silence, I thought he'd forgot to come back in and was giving the starring eyes, and 'play you fool'.

Into church, the services seem quicker and quicker, or is that because I'm getting older? This year the organist didn't beat us to playing the National Anthem, so we got our moment and it sounded fansastic inside echoing around.

Back outside, you realise the church wasn't that cold! A quick stomp back to the HQ past the Cenotaph, another excellent performance by the Corps. The drums held almost a steady 120bpm, all the newbis marched really well, and we didn't flaten any Guides (there's always next year).

Thank you to everyone invovled, the Instructors were very positive about the morning. Afterwards a 'small' part of 20 odd people celebrated Trev's 21st at the Raggalds, where did that cake go?
